This poem by the Dutch writer Gerard Nolst Trenité is called The Chaos and is a perfect demonstration of the total lack of logic in English spelling. In the interest of anyone thinking they know English, it herewith reproduced (from the Spelling Society) in its full, glorious 274-line form.
